COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

WHAT DOES THE PACK CONSISTS OF:
1 pack consists of 7 x 35g containers of 100% fresh goodness with no added preservatives.

HOW LONG CAN I KEEP THE FISHES FOR?
While there is no expiration date for fishes that we keep in the freezer, we personally do not recommend storing for more than 1.5 months especially if food is catered for babies as young as 6 months.

HOW DO I THAW IT?
You can simply put it in a bowl of water for about 10 mins before cooking or leave in fridge to thaw overnight or a few hours before cooking.

HOW CAN I COOK THESE BLENDED FISHES? DO YOU HAVE RECIPES?
Unfortunately, we are only good at selecting the best fishes for your baby but ain't great cooks! :( However, google will be able to provide you with a ton of awesome recipes! Think of how you can stir fry with vegetables, eggs, rice, make little fishes patties, other than just porridge! The options are limitless!

WHY IS IT MORE BLENDED THAN PUREE?
We are firm believers in the importance of introducing food with textures. Blended is a great way to start your baby. Your child's paediatrician may/will also recommend your babies to explore textured food once they are familiar with purees. While there are different ways to approach solids, a "one-size-fits-all" does not work with children. Just remember happy feedings = better growth and nutrition and a positive relationship with food

BUT WHY ARE SOME FISHES MORE PUREE THAN BLENDED?
Some fishes are naturally creamier while some others are flakier in texture. The blend turns out differently depending on the original texture of the fishes - just like how some fruit juices have pulp and some don't!

I AM A PARENT WHO PREFERS BABY LED WEANING (BLW), HOW IS THIS USEFUL FOR ME?
Well, how about let's think from another angle? One idea we have is to throw the blended fishes into an egg and make a fish paste omelette! There you go! Now your baby can self feed! :) Otherwise, you can take a look at our very popular baby's first fishes pack here which offers bigger pieces of fishes which are individually packed as well!

DOES BLENDING FOOD REDUCE NUTRIENTS?
No, blending does not break down the nutrients sufficiently to affect their value.

HOW METICULOUS IS THE PROCESS?
To identify the difference between this and our regular child packs, the process is way more tedious and takes double the time for the entire processing. We will have to ensure that these steps are in place:

STEP 1: Choose the cut of the fish that has the least bones
STEP 2: Remove the skin
STEP 3: Cut the chosen part into small pieces for easier blending whilst also checking out for bones
STEP 4: Blend the pieces
STEP 5: Pour everything out and pick out all the traces of bones, impurities (such as fish scales), leftover fish skin and veins by hand
(please note that you may still find traces of small veins/skin in the pack as it is impossible to completely remove everything but please be assured that it is absolutely safe for your child)
STEP 6: Pack into the containers and seal them up in ziplock packaging

The entire process of preparing just ONE pack takes about 30 mins.
