Pomfret provide calcium, vitamins A and D, including vitamin B12 which is important for the nervous system. Pomfret is good for eyesight and healthy hair and skin.

INTERESTING FACT ABOUT POMFRET:
The bigger the pomfret is, it is most costly as the meat is considered more flavourful and it is great for banquets.

Medium sized pomfret is recommended for family of 3-5.
Large sized pomfret is recommended for family of 4-6.
